The turn out at Red Room, The Junk

Jim Liaw was in town last week. Jim, who won the WPPM Best Wedding and Portrait Photographer award last year, was in town for some official matter. Despite his busy schedule, we were lucky to have him around to do sharing during WPPM’s photographer gathering at Red Room (The Junk) in Kuching.

Jim Liaw during his sharing session at The Junk.

It was an eye-opening stuff he has shared, from technical side of photography, to the business side. He also repeatedly emphasized on the benefit to have a body like WPPM around. This will not only raised the industry’s standard, but it will also help the photographers in Malaysia to grow.

He concluded the gathering with a thorough photo review that night. Even though the comments and critiques were kept short, I’ve picked up quite a lot from there already.

It was definitely all good to have Jim around, hope to see him in Kuching soon. And, I also hoped to be able to attend his next Masterclass, be it in Kuching or KL.

James & Felicia: Prelude

Here are a couple more shots from the day, and a video edit of their earlier years’ photos, as well as highlight of their ROM day on the 9th Sept ’09. I’ve uploaded the same video to both Facebook and Vimeo, but I’m choosing to post the one from Youtube. I think it takes lesser time to buffer the video from Youtube, compared to others. Vimeo was the slowest among the three hosts.
