It was a great wedding day yesterday, and here is a same-day-edit photo montage from yesterday. The bride requested for an upbeat number in Bruno Mars’ Marry You. Congratulations to the newlywed!
Minimal adjustment are applied to the images used in the montage.
I left Kuala Lumpur almost 5 years ago, and I left for the city I love most this far in my life. There are things which the other two cities I have lived in before couldn’t really match with. And, this is one of the reasons why..
Beautiful sky and cloud formation is a common sight here in Kuching.
It’s just simply beautiful to look up into the skies sometimes, especially in Kuching.
Sarawak Regetta has become an annual event on the calendar year for Kuching, and it could only do all good as it attracts people from all around the word. I was glad not to have missed the water action on the conclusion day for the event.
I am always thrilled to be able to capture sport actions, it must have something to do with my addiction to sports channel (i.e. ESPN, Starsports) since young. Equipped with only 70-200mm f/4L USM, I was pleased with what I have captured on the day. I didn’t have any special passes, and I didn’t have lens which have long enough reach to capture the action up close!
I still have to crop this images out, despite that the equivalent reach on my cropped body (EOS 50D) is about 360mm. Otherwise, I will be struggling to get a decent composition.
Stars of Florida crew put up a great show at the Sarawak River at the Sarawak Regetta Event which concluded on Sunday.
There are a few more to come from the event right after this. I shall spend some time to sort the final images before posting them here. So, please stay tuned for more updates.
We’re going into the second week of September, and we have seen rising number of wedding occasions here in Kuching already. I have enjoyed my part as a wedding photographer in documenting, and retelling the newlyweds’ stories through my images.
This week, I am featuring one of my favorite pic from one of the wedding assignments.

This image came fresh from the oven, in fact this came from yesterday’s assignment. I have yet to applied any adjustment or enhancement to the image, except for Aperture 3.0′s RAW Fine Tuning. I love the texture on the background, as well as how the light falls on the subject and background. Given the limited lighting and time, I am glad I pulled this trick out quick.
Albeit the quiet season in the seventh month in lunar calendar, my schedule has been really tight throughout. Partially, I was aslo tied down with the data backup, migration and restoration work with my then-failing hard disk drive. I have since replaced with a larger capacity. Thankfully it’s working now.
In order to make up with the lack of update, and slow progress with tweaking the new theme. Here is a sneak preview of a portrait session I did with mainly the loaned EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM. Yes, it is tight on my EOS 50D APS-C sensor, but it’s not too bad at all. More of that on a full write up later.
