Fann Wong @ the Spring – Part 1

A week ago, Fann Wong and some other local celebrities, as well as an actor from Mainland China, came visiting Kuching. It was a promotional event for Astro's Chinese New Year album 牛转乾坤, as well as for two of Astro's latest drama showing on AEC and ShuangXing (双星).    This is when I was being extremely absent minded. I packed all my →

My Way

Somehow, I had tears rolling in my eyes listening to his performance. I'm really impressed by his performance. Impressed by his wide vocal range. The ever impressive Gary 曹格.       I will do it, my way.

Rynn Lim Through 350D

Here are some of the shots taken with my EOS 350D that night. All shots were taken without firing flash. Again, I relied on the performance of my 350D's ISO sensitivity as well as the stage lighting. Photos are also in random order.    EXIF | Canon EOS 350D with Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 | ISO 800 | f/2.8 | 1/125 sec | 0ev →

Rynn Lim through 50D – Part 1

Back in November, Rynn Lim 林宇中 made a return to his homeland Kuching, for a mini promotional concert here. I was fortunate to obtain a front access to this event, and I thought it was a good opportunity to test out my newly acquired 50D.    Hence, I paired my 50D with EF 90-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM and tested out the configuration. On →

Test Drive with 50D at Rynn Lim’s Mini Concert

It's been 2 months+ since I added EOS 50D to my arsenal, and I'm loving every bit of it. It's a solid camera to have. :D Schweet!   Back in November, late November, I had a chance to give it a test on stage performance shots. So, I brought my gear to this Rynn Lim's mini concert for a runout. Here are →

Local Celebrities in Sg. Wang Plaza: Vick Teo

Alas, someone I know of his name. Vick Teo made his appearance after the few performed earlier. I didn't stayed till end of his performance. I left shortly after, that is why only got a few shots of him. That is all I have from my camera.   One last shot of the stage as I exit the plaza via the escalator.   Last →

Local Celebrities in Sg Wang… continues…

The stage lighting was okay. But, my 90-300mm f/4-5.6 hasn't got aperture wide enough to shoot in that kind of environment. The lighting was quite low. I think lenses with aperture as wide as f/2.8 or f/2 (with IS) will definitely be very useful here.   12 photos in total.        One more post to go, then we can leave Sungei Wang Plaza. Cheerio!

Local Celebrities at Sg. Wang

The lil' girl from the Hari Raya post seems cute eh? Want more of her? There are more, but first, let's get the Sg. Wang post done first.    I shot him shot me.     U.S. Army   This time round, they've got a male performer up on the stage. I have no clue what his name was.      That's all for this dude, there'll be two more →

KL through 50mm: Local Celebrities at Sg. Wang

Continuation from the KL journey through my 50mm lens. Ooops.. I shouldn't include this as 50mm series, cos I snapped this with my 90-300mm f/4.5-5.6. Oh gosh. I made a mistake.. >.<! LOL! Nevertheless, go ahead and browse through the photos. I'm just gonna amend the title. Again, the photos are of random order. This post will cover all of this lady singer →

KL through 50mm: Sg Wang

I've strayed off from quite a bit from the KL Trip in August. Let's just get back to that series now.   I happened to see these people, whom I assumed are local celebrities, performing on the stage area. I shot them with my 90-300mm tele lens. My aperture wasn't large enough to give me nice shots, so I'll have to make →
